Hello, I'm getting ready to build a new computer for use playing games, not necessarily at the absolute best quality but with decent settings. I'm a novice overclocker but can at least get a reasonable boost out of the parts.
What I'm looking at right now is this setup:
CPU:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz
Graphics:
EVGA GeForce 8800GT Superclocked 512MB
MotherBoard:
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L
Memory:
two Crucial Ballistix 1GB DDR2 800
Power:
FSP Group FX600-GLN V2.2/EPS12V 600W Power Supply
HDD:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
DVD Drive:
SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner
Case:
RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WB
This all fits into my budget of around $1000, and appears to have plenty of room for upgrades at a later date, but before I go and buy it all I was curious as to what anyone has to say about it. Thanks
