sorry for being a pain in the ass, but how is it new if its in the pc? because for 10 more bucks we can get a brand new in box harddrive...

its brand new i put it in to use it but my motherboard is a POS and reads everything wrong, my ram wont work and i cant reformat it because it wont read it.

brand new nothing on it and never formatted. thats how its new still

im sacrificing it to get a new motherboard

im a computer tech from ky, have you tried resetting the bios on your board..

1.take BATTERY OUT
2.find bios switch
3. change it from 1to2 to 2to3
4.leave it there for a minute, then poweron the pc
5. then shutdown the pc, and reincert battery
6.try starting up the computer again
7. if nothing again make sure all power/ground wires are connected properly
8. if still nothing its 2 things, processor or board! 90% of the time, its a processor!

what kind of board are you using?

eci 671Ti didnt choose it , it came with the Q6600 on balck friday from frys.
they wanted to get rid of them
i just got it becasue it was 200 for the combo saved me 80 bucks on the processor.

the second ram slot if F$#Ked i dont even want to try and fix the other problems
when i place a stick of ram in the second ram slot i get startup errors and bsod if it works
when i use just the first slot it runs fine.
