Hi, for Christmas I am getting 2 GB of RAM, and a set of speakers. The problem is that I don't know which set of speakers to get. They all seem pretty good, at least from the ratings. I am looking for a set between 50-75$. If you think you can find better than this within the price range, please make it at NewEgg. LED's have a nice effect too. It is not necessary to find another set though. Just tell me which of these are the best. I am mostly a gamer, but I watch a lot of videos and listen to music. I like bass, but I don't like it to the extreme. An average level of bass is fine.

Do I need to have anything special on my computer? I remember reinstalling my audio drivers it told me to choose 5.1, 2.1, 2, and stuff like that, is that all I need to have? I have lots of those audio plug things in the back where you plug speakers in to, but apparently only one of them seem to work. That and the microphone plug. I think they are called jacks, please confirm this.

make sure you have enough audio ports in your computer. a few years ago I bought a set of Logitech 5.1 speakers for my laptop, but my sound card didn't support more than dual channel speakers. you should have THREE audio ports for the 5.1 speakers! *edit* I didn't see that you said only one port works. that means you won't be able to use all 5.1 speakers! *edit*
