How's Hanns.G's reputation? I've heard of em but never seen one of their monitors

if you get that big of a monitor you wont be able to game on it very well. you will have to crank down the resoultion a lot.

spend your money on something more worthwhile. 700$ on a monitor is silly.

Why will I have to have lower res? I'll have an 8800GT 512MB Just so you know. The 8300GS probably won't run it.

Yeah I'm thinking of getting a 24 inch samsung and spending the money for something else, I don't really need nor have the space for that large of a monitor. But I want to have a bigger monitor then my friend's 26" haha

An 8800GT will probably run Crysis at low settings with 1920x1080.

I have seen two 8600GT in SLI running the game on medium setting pretty well. But then again its Crysis and who can play it on high.

One thing to think about when selecting GPUs and monitors:

Do you want to run a game, say Crysis, at your monitors native resoultion and turn a few things like shadows off, particles on medium, filtering on bi-linear instead of anisotropic or tri-linear? OR run at a lower resolution with settings maxed out?

My Sceptre monitor died after ~9 months. I wouldn't touch that brand with a 10 foot pole.

400 bucks for a 24 inch with 1080p and a 2ms response time?

I would consider that to be an excellent deal. I don't know too much about the brand name, but that is dirt cheap for a monitor that quality.

I like it. I'm sure others will agree.
