building new computer

I'd always get a good sound card, whatever speakers I have, but music is very important to me, so having good speakers has always been something I'd aim for anyway.

In games, a dedicated sound card would be best, and for media, a good sound card would be best, as it'd have better quality components inbuilt, so less noise, etc.

Creative sound cards are good, and the latest X-Fi cards are pretty amazing for the price. That Xtreme Audio card that I pointed to should be great for your needs.

CPU COOLER

I'd personally for your CPU, get the Zalman 9700. Its pretty cheap, and will perform like a dream :)

What about one of these for PSU just so I can save a lil money or is the other one worth it?

and how does the cooling device look also?

Thanks again
I agree with Kage, get the Zalman 9700. Or, if you're not overclocking, just use the stock cooler.

I think you'll be happy with the power supply I recommended if you buy it. It's much higher quality than any of the cheaper power supplies you listed.

Yeah, the 9700 is even great for my Quad, so for a Dual, it'll be pretty amazing, and should allow you to overclock further :)

hmmm thats for the help on that...I might get the good PSU...but since I have never overclocked maybe I should learn? if it is that worth it...just so many things to over clock :)

If you only overclock the CPU, by raising the FSB (Front Side Bus), you'll be away. You may have to raise the voltage, but you should if its a good board, be able to get to 3.0ghz at least without having to do this.
