Alot of Laptop questions!

Im interested in building one
where can i get any parts?
It would be just like building a reg pc just alot smaller right?
the HDDs attach just like a desktop pc correct?
so the number of HDDs all depends on the mobo that is used
Laptop GPUs, where can i get one. or 2?
any information on this realtively non exhistant hobby is appreciated
i cant honestly find anywhere to get laptop parts
and i mean the stuff that goes inside the case!

I Have never heard of anyone actually building there own laptop,but i will try answering your questions.

Fitting a laptop hardrive is exactly the same as a desktop computer,Exept smaller parts,and there is only 1 ribbon (No power chord)

Laptop GPUs, where can i get one. or 2?

In most laptops i have seen,the GPU Is Actually inbedded into the motherboard.


As i said before,I honestly have never heard of anyone building there own laptop,Why do you want to?

thats why im asking everyone here
and alienware has gpus that they stuff into their pc
(which alienware is just a subsidary of Dell [bought in 96])
they use the 512MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX GDDR3
so im just wondering
and google? didnt think of that
now the question become how reliable is ebay for pc parts
i mean would they actually work?
what condition are they in?

I Like ebay,I buy plenty of PC Parts from ebay all the time,as long as you buy from a good seller.Depends,You can get brand new parts to 2nd hand.

Yeah google is pretty good,type in what you are looking for,and a webshop selling that product should pop up.

But Still,Why cant you just buy a laptop? It would be cheaper....

I just did some research and some laptops do have an interchangeable GPU.

i found several sites online with tons of parts!
and i like to do it myself

^ That's what kind of GPU Alienware uses, not all motherboards have that.
