Hi, I was thinking about saving up for either a dual core or a quad core. Though, I am not sure as of the moment whether or not my motherboard is compatible. I have an Asus P5ND2-SLI motherboard, and if you could tell me whether or not it is compatible with both dual and quad, just dual, or neither; it would be greatly appreciated. And if you can tell me, can you please also include where you found that info?

Thanks a million!

It supports Dual Core.Highest FSB support for it is 1066. Quad uses 1066 FSB but I'm not sure if your mobo will supoprt it. I got this info off Asus.com.

Asus sites can be a bit dodgey at times, mainly just plain slow.

So we agree then that the board supports neither Core2Duo or Core2Quad.

The main reason the next motherboard I get will not be an Asus is because their website is SO D*MN SLOW! It takes ages to download all the drivers I need!

Well I'd love to get a board like mine that has dual channel memory, SLI, and some good overclocking. And of course dual and/or quad core capability.

that board right there is friken awesome support for intel core 2 qaud and duals but plus intels newest cpu that runs on 45nm!
