Well i have an old computer built by HP. If i should upgrade what should i upgrade i have about $250 to use. I'm using this computer for gaming, but it just can't play new games even on low setting with out any lag.

Motherboard: Asus P4SD-LA (Stingray) specs http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...505&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=344629&lang=en
CPU: 2.8 Ghz P4 Northwood
Video Card: ATI Radeon X700 PRO AGP 4x 8x (upgraded in 05)
Memory: 1.5gb(upgraded), 256x2 512x2 DDR333
Hard Drive: Maxtor 6Y160P0 164GB
Disk Drives :HP DVD Writer 300n DVD-ROM Drives
Sound Card: None

mmmm, a graphics card, but most new ones are all PCI-E (i think),

or a new board that has support for a PCI-E slot and supports your RAM and Proc

HP Machines aren't really built for gaming...
I'd take that $250 and save it up and get a good gaming machine.. just build it.

You don't have to spend a lot if your not looking to play INSANE games, like Crysis.

you may be in the same boat i am with having to replace to many harware items to make it worthwhile...might as well use the upgrade money towards building a new dual core build.

well u have an agp slot.the best video card u could get for that is the 7950 but that cost like 250-300 because agp arnt made much anymore.

so do what Bahawolf said and save up for a new one
