If you want I can post pics of the new setup just let me know if your interested.
In the future where would be the place to start for upgrades?

It's pretty good. The only thing I'm thinking is that video card is a little weak for hardcore gaming.

I thought that the 8600gt was the card to get if you didn't want to spend the big bucks on the 8800 gt. Am I correct for thinking this way

Well...the 8600GT was kinda a letdown card. It's not terrible, but you'd be better off with at least the 8600GTS.

ok thanks for the info freestyler sucks to hear but good to know.
as promised the pics; let u know what u think
The Monitor 37in Westinghouse 720p

Cool case :p

I mean it really depends on what type of games you'll be playing with the 8600GT. It'll run most games fine, it'll just start to struggle with really intense newer games like Crysis.

thx man on the comps

yeah I will be looking to change the video card first out of the system, but are there 8800Gt cards that don't take up two slots reason I'm asking is because this machine is a FFC and it does get a little tight.

Also the comp has only a 500w PSU will this be sufficient to run a power hungry 8800GT (the power supply does have the extra 6 prong power cable for the GPU)?

If it's SLI certified, which most new ones are, then you don't need to worry about running 1.
