they use the cheapest parts possible
the laptop i recommended is built for gaming

wait a few months for the 8800M GTX to be more availible and cheaper. if u want one now, stick with the 8700

I got XP on it and I run Crysis with a mix of high, low and medium settings. Works fine for me and I added and extra 40 bucks so I could get another gig of ram. Altogether it costs a little over 1300 for me. Speakers are not good though, use headphones. I use photoshop on it mostly though and it works great. Pretty cheap for what it does too.

i would go with the alienware laptops http://www.alienware.com all alienware notebooks are high performance only downside is sometimes customer support is bad
