Gaming laptop

can i get a laptop that can play crysis (or dx10 newest games) on high for less than $2500?
if so can you recommend anything?

how good is the 8600m gt compared to the newest gpus?

An 8600GT will not be able to run Crysis on high settings. Probably low settings actually.

is there anything cheaper than the dell?
i would choose the lowest ram and hd and upgrade them myself but the sell is still allot of money

the GeForce 7950 GTX on that dell is dx 9c not dx 10 though
so that laptop wont work for me

DirectX 10 is overrated. The 8600 is DirectX 10, but it's too slow for Crysis. You'll need an 8800. Or, you could just get a really fast DirectX 9 card that will work just fine.

DX10 sucks, all it does is lower your frame rates.

if you want a very good gaming lappy then get one with a 8800M video chipset

Are the graphics worth 250? I don't care about the hard drives, ram I will eventually replace both.
