Im looking at the budget surround set ups for pc and was wondering if anybody has any experiance with the ones available for at or under 50. I like to shop from newegg but will go elseware if the price is right
$50 won't get you very good surround sound. Think about it, with a 5.1 setup, you're paying for 5 speakers plus a subwoofer. That's paying about $8 a piece, which isn't going to get you very good speakers.
Yes, I have actually seen those speakers and for the price they are actually pretty good. Nothing extraordinary, but for $55 they are a solid buy for a great price.
I want to run the x-540 set up from logitech. My Motherboard only has one audio out jack. Do I need to get a sound card? If so, what card is good for someone on a budget? The system looks like it needs a front, center/sub, and rear hookup.

Aopen cobra aw850d 5.1 surround pci card. Mine came with sp/dif and optical header. Doesn't break the bank and has surprisingly great sound. Spend the rest on a set on a set of Altec Lansing speakers at wally world. 25 dollars.
Still under 50 bucks...
