Jumper question on my 500gb Seagate 7500rpm 16mb cache

update your XP to SP2 or download a large hard drive enabler (google it). then go to
Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Managment

then format the unnalocated disk space on physical disk 0 (assuming you only have 1 physical HDD) make it a primary partition. youll have "2 hard drives" in my computer though. you can combine them if you want, if you do just give me the word and ill tell you how

I would sure like to know how to combine the drives

ok i dont know exactly how to do it, but here is a program to do it with, you cant do it with windows

im sure you can find out how to do it in the help files

also, if your going to merge them, dont format it with windows, leave the space unformatted for now and see if partition magic can merge the drive with unformatted space first, if it can just quick format it

Rudster 816 I'm stuck in disk management right now after installing SP2. I don't know what to do all I see is the 127 gb "Disk 0" and my optical drive. I do not see another HDD drive that needs to be formatted please advise
