On the back of my laptop I have an composite HD/S-Video connector. Since I do not have HD(yet) or S-video, so I tried my S-Vid to RCA composite connector. Turns out it turns the TV black and white:confused:. I googled it and it seems like a common problem and didn't see a real fix. So anyone here know??

BTW I have an ATI Mobility Radeon x1600 with the latest drivers.

There is normally an option on the laptop to change to tv mode so check that.

i dont have a laptop so the first thing i would think of is make sure all the settings are correct.. just like Raffaz said

Yeah, I've tried all the TV options in the ATI settings manager with no fix:confused:

I think its a common problem when you convert S-Video to RCA. At least of what I read on a few forums from google.

Some TV's don't display 60hz signals very well, which is why it may have gone black and white.

Make the dispplay run at 50hz, and it should turn into a colour one.
