Hdd Cloning

Is it possible to clone a 40g HDD onto new 160G HDD, without installing windows on the new HDD first?, What I want to do if possible is transfer my current OS and data straight onto a new hdd drive make that my master drive then erase my old hdd and keep it just for storage.
Would Norton ghost do it as I have the 2003 edition and have cloned my current drive many times but not HDD to HDD.

yah i think u can use nroton ghost......having both drives hooked up..and running clone disk function......i perosnally use acronis....its way better...

ghost or acronis true image will work fine mate I prefer acronis

Cheers guys IL do it when i get my tower back, its in a shop having a 160g HDD put in as I type, I was going to do it myself but as I have a broken elbow I couldn't manage it.
