MAC OS9 questions

my step dad just bought a old mac computer from a yard sale and it has mac os 9 it the problem is its passworded and nobody knows the pass word is there a way to get around it or how can i fix the problem?

Anyhow, did your computer come with an install disk? You should be able to reinstall the operating system, and start from scratch.

Reinstall OS9, however it's a pretty useless operating system by todays standards

no it didnt come with an instal disk i tryed a burned copy but nothing happened

i actualy have no idea everything was built in cdrom floppy speakers and screen and the mouse and keyboard were all routed off of the keybaords to the back of the system

i think its an imac and there is a little reformat button in the back if im not mistaken

i what done with my old imac g3...i upgraded ram to 256mb and installed 10.4 ....... it works excellent.....or u can put on 10.3.....
