Your Opinion: 8600x2/8800

XFX is just as good as EVGA. Maybe better if you like the factory overclocked cards. Much better than Asus or BFG cards.

I would go EVGA if possible, their customer service is a force to be reckoned with. They agreed to replace two fried 8800's owned by a guy on Xtremesystems when the ramsink fell off the top card and landed on the bottom card, causing a short which fried both cards.

really?

I've read that evga support sucked !!

but that is good to know, eases my fears of stepping out of my boundries..

The reason SLI'ing cards isn't that great at the moment is because when you SLI the bios sets both PCIe Slots to 8x each instead of 16x.

thats not totally true, on some boards that is the case, but there are boards that do operate in full 16x while in sli, all depends on the chipset

yea we've already discussed a lot of that, 680i's and up are supposed to run 16x..though it seems some 680i run 8x2

o well

just thought i'd let everyone know,

to my surprise
