normal prescott temp?

is it me or is the cpu cooler the wrong way, the fan is ment to blow the air out the back of the pc, but saying that with all the space in there it should still run cool

I mentioned that in the gallery. Flip it around, the CPU cooler fan is fighting the exhaust for air.

hmm how can it when the cpu fan is on the other side?
unless you have changed it around..
but from the pic of ur pc it looks as tho the heat from the cpu is going back into the pc not out the back

what is the normal prescott temp for P4 3 ghz socket 478? mine is currently at 37-40 C on idle and 47-52 on load.

Thats actually fairly cool for a prescott.

My dad's goes above 60C on load.

As mentioned, if you can keep it below 70C, then theres nothing to worry about. Prescotts run hot, thats all there is to it.
