IMO, physics cards are dead (or going to die). CPUs and GPUs are now powerful enough to handle physics, and 99% of people don't want to dish out extra money for a dedicated physics card.

Yeah, but AMD would want to buy them out, most likely to put the technology directly into the CPU's. Thats what I'd imagine anyway

Hmm...I guess that would divide the CPU market though. I mean regular users wouldn't want to pay extra for a CPU that's extra efficient for gaming, when all they're doing is word processing. So they'd have to sell different CPUs for those types of users, correct?
