Hello everyone. I have always wanted to build a computer and I also notice that you get more for your money by doing so. I have a list of components from NewEgg.com that I was thinking about getting. Since this is the first time I am doing this, could you guys please examine the list and let me know if the parts I have selected are compatible with one another.

well the ram is open box, so It could be used, and im pretty sure you need a dvi monitor. Plus if your going to spend that much on a proccesor, I would get a better video card if you game.

Technically, it will work but I feel some components could be better than others. I don't want to change too much of what you have in terms of pricing so I'll try to find an equivalent to what you're looking for.

At least change to that. Everything is ok. If you want to spend a little more on a video card, that's your choice too (especially if you are into 3d apps and gaming). Otherwise, it will work fine.

Thanks a lot guys because I am a newbee when it comes to building PCs. What gets me are the type of ports there are. There are so many. Let me ask one more thing. What case should I get because, I don't know what kind of power supply I need or what. I don't want to undervolt all of that stuff.

They don't normally have to be from the same manufacturer, but both of those happen to be on sale with rebates.

I will just bud in here and say there is nothing wrong with what you originally posted. If you have fallen in love with those parts, try to find non-openbox versions of them. For one reason or another those were sent back to newegg and are not always the most reliable.

I like the parts I have, but I just want to be sure if they are compatible. Because you know how you can buy stuff and when you get it home, the PC will blow up. Ha ha

Your parts are fine. But please take a second look. I'm doing you a favor here and I'm sure no one around where you live will help you out with this besides coming on here. At least take a look at your RAM please. Sorry to be blunt and don't take it too personally, but you would be a fool not to take this offer.

yes the G.Skill RAM is da bomb.. mine came in the mail the other day... but i had to go outta town so i havn't been able to put it in yet.. but it looks so nice... it has like a metal cover around the actual RAM...

BTW u can go the extra mile and get this video cardand u get Crysis with it... (such a sik game)
