Yes, that's a very wise decision. I didn't click on your CPU link but once you mentioned quad core.............it's automatic. Quad core is the way to go.
 
The G0 stepping consumes lower power than the B3 primarily. This give the people idea to overclock the CPU more for higher performance :p.
 
Make sure you get a G0, because it runs cooler, which is a good thing for something that overclocks very well indeed :)

It comes with all cores at 2.4ghz, but I have mine running at 3.2ghz. If I had a better cooler, 3.6ghz would be pretty easy to achieve, especially with that motherboard you are wanting :)

You may want to get a new cooler though, and not use the one that comes with the box.

Either a Zalman 9700 (like me, and its very nice), or a Tuniq Tower (harder to find, but its better when overclocked, and not to mention, harder to fit, but its probably worth it)
