Gears of war crashing-PC

I bought Gears of War today for pc waited like forever for it to install and it crashes when ever I run it like a few seconds into game play it crashes....
Are their any patches or anything?
I have allready tried uninstalling and reinstalling....
My computer is
spyware free
Virus free
All the windows updated installed
Hadrives are defragmented

I don't know why this is happening but its annoying!! I'M not going to be able to take my game back either....

what does it say when it crashes?

also, search google, see if people are having trouble installing it on vista, and if you have 64 bit, search that too.

that looks like a windows error report, looks like something is wrong with the way there working together or something like that.

if you havent already disable UAC in the control panel by going to user accounts, youll have to restart afterwards though.

a shot in the dark, but maybe try installing it in safe mode

Just a long shot, but it could be the game itself thats faulty. Its not common, but it can happen, if your sure its not your PC.
i.e you have latest drivers, etc.

It'd probably most likely be impossible to copy this game as of now, so taking the game back shouldn't be a problem, if you say you want a replacement, and not a refund.

This is up everywhere on the Evga Forums. There is a problem with the game itself and there currently working on a patch. Everyone is having the same issue. Glad I read that the other night or I would of bought it yesterday. Let me know when the patch is released though.

Also people were talking about a hot fix for the game you must have installed. Make sure you download it although that doesn't solve the crash issue your having but you should probally download it if they recommend it for the game.

Also try the 163.71 Drivers that seems to make it a bit more stable from what i've read.

I downloaded and the reinstalled my games for windows live thing and it seems to hav worked I was playing it earlier and it seemed to work fine so far I will let you guys know later once I get back home
