Your best bet would be to hit up your local Best Buy, Circut City, etc. and check out what they have going. Look for Samsung, LG, even Olivia and Visio are making some good models. Also, that way you cab decide for yourself which has the best picture to your liking.

I have the 42" LG 42LC2D LCD TV and couldn't be happier with it. It's a 720p set, but it looks amazing in HD.

assuming you're going to be sitting about 10 feet away from it, i think 46 inches is a real good size for viewing. circuit city currently has a samsung 46" lcd with 3 hdmi ports for $1999 which is on sale for 600 off regular price.
