Hey I'm downloading a few live videos of my fav band from Youtube but their videos are always FLV and Windows Movie Maker won't recognize that so I either gotta find a free video converter or free video editor that only has to be basic, I don't have the cash on me lately to pay for some of those programs. Any ideas?

I suggest Media Coder - http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/ a free, open source that can convert pretty much anything into anything.
ok well this just sucks ass through a straw! I have no idea how to use this program, it either won't work or the video footage is sped up x2 with the audio staying the same so it runs out of video but the audio keeps playing...
I pick Windows Media as the format and the container is default and it won't work, I set the format and container to be MPEG1 and it still won't work. The default it starts with is Xvid video with an MP4 container which which doesn't even load even when I keep it set to 800kps. What the hell am I doing wrong? Excuse the language but I'm having a bad day and this is really makin me angry.
Edit: screw it, I'm going with Vixy.net instead.
