im building a PC for xmas im not worried about the price from what i came up with its around 3900 us doller heres what i have

1.antec 900 case

2.OCZ gamerxtreme 850 watt psu

3.evga 680i A1 motherboard

4.CPU is undicided doing more research my choice were the intel QX6850 or the QX9650

5. 8800gtx vid card from i can see there aint much diff. between the 8800gtx and the ultra modle

6. 4 gig of DDR1150 ram

7.150gig Raptor HDD

8.200gig seagte i have already

9.seagate baracuda 500gig hdd

10. stock HSF for now system should be fast enough i dont need to OC

11.sound card undecided need some suggestions

12 razer keyboard

13.razer death adder mouse

14. logitech z5500 speakers

15. dvdrw/cdrw drive i have that play and burns cds and dvds

16.19" Samsung 971P Flat Panel LCD Monitor with 250 Brightness, 1500:1 Contrast, 6ms Response, VGA, DVI-D

17. and a old CRT i have that i got at a yard sale for 10bucks and it works too


plz tell me what i can change or give me some critisism like i said im not worried about the price. oh ya im gonna be running windows xp home till vista SP2 comes out or till they fix vista

There are better monitors out there, try and look for one that is 4ms. Also, get a mobo that will support tri-SLI and get 3 8800GTX's. Also, where the f**k are you going to get 4g's to pay for that comp??
 
ive been saving for a lonnnnnnnng time plus my grandparents and family are helping for xmas

i thought the evga 680i A1 mobo was like best on the market if not plz link me to better ones
 
Go for 3 8800GTs if you want PCIE 2.0, but the ultras would be better. If it were me, I would spend $2000, and another $2000 over a couple years.
 
Yeah cause I'm sure they are gunna come out with a uber sweet card soon that is PCIe 2.0.
