What happened is that I saw an ASRock P4M890 for sale at 70 bucks. Since it was the last, I decided why not. I'm happy with it, because it fits in the case I bought with that. For the old board, which isn't THAT old, it'll have another CPU and RAM and might be sold for 250.

Not only did I return with a small case and mobo, I have brought 3 Tualatin CPUs, one being a PIII 1266MHZ, the other a 1000MHz. The other one is a Celeron 1200MHz. It will go in my Optiplex G1. Also, I plan to return with another PGA convertor and grab another Tualatin CPU for my Optiplex GX110

Fun day today, but I need to try my stuff now.

I got my ASRock P4M890 for $50 on Newegg...lol. It's a nice budget board though with a bonus PCI-e slot. I'm trying to sell the system with that board for about $250-280. I haven't had much time to do much with my PCs lately.

I got several older ones to build and sell, just don't have time. I got 3 newer ones that I am trying to sell, but I don't have any (legal) XP keys handy to use with them. So I am foced to either sell them w/ a blank HDD, install Linux, or have them give me one of their unused XP keys and I will install XP for them... Kinda annoying since I need 2 or 3 keys and they sell easier with Windows rather than Linux. Know anyway I can get some legal XP keys for cheap or free? (as in something besides a keygen)

Yep, a bit higher here.
how many computers do you have:eek:
Erm let's see...12. One is getting sold, the two K6s are upstairs, and the rest, besides the Optiplexs, are all 1GHz or higher. One of them is sold, so I'm waiting for it to go.

12 geeze..I got 3 and if I had 1 more that would be too many. Well i wouldnt mind a laptop.

Actually, I have small ones and bifg ones. I'm putting on sell both Optiplexs as a combo, for 100, and my older S478 for 250.

Ah, I didn't pay attention that he was in Canada.

I have 3 computers that I use a lot (the 3 in my sig). Using the iBook right now. I also have one with that ASRock board in an emachines case, 120GB HDD, 2.8GHZ P4, 512MB ram, 400W PSU. I also got my old P4 system also w/ an ASRock, 2.8GHz P4, 1GB ram, 2x 80GB HDD, FX5200, DVD-RW, 400W PSU. And one that I go a reply for to sell (possibly), 1.8GHz P4, I think it's an ASUS board, 256MB ram (all the ram I got left), random 32MB ATI, 30GB HDD, 300W PSU. Plus I got a coulpe P2 and P3 systems.

lhuser lives in canada, prices are always higher over there

Their fairly equal now, with stuff being cheaper buck for buck in alot of situations. This is because our dollar is now MUCH stronger than the American dollar.

I gave ASRock another chance, because I'm preety sure the P4S61 had problems from the beginning. Now, this one works fine, but in PCLOS 2k7, it can't find my video card (onboard unfortunately). I'll have to grab another distro and grab a low-profile card. The case is a MATX Desktop case and really look fine. Scratched pain, but that with the SAME brick PSU I have for 10 bucks. The P3s didn't fit on my G1, nor Borat's board, so I am selling the one with Borat's board. Amasingly, the P3 1266MHz worked fine with my ASUS board, and suprisingly, my GX110 had no problem with my 1000MHz P3. I'll get a Coppermine 1000MHz for the G1, because the problem is voltage wise.
