Video Question

hello all, i dont mean to post this if it has already been posted (i didn't see it in the first 5 pages), but im going to build another system. i was wondering if i should go with a 512 video card or do a sli setup with a pair of 256. any input on this?

memory wont make a difference if u have a 512 7600 and a 256 7900

Hey mang. My theory on this. I've never run SLI but my theory would be... Why go THROUGH two cards, when you could have it in one. I know its like doubling the power or whatever but, you have the same amount I would assume. So if the same memory space is there, then I wouldn't want to travel through ONE to get to the other for full power when you could just have one. Hey, that's just my theory though...

sli 8600 vs 1 8800 gtx
gtx has more power

1 card vs 2 cards for the same price, the single card will ALWAYS win

thx for your input. i just thought it was something special about running 2 cards in sli than a single card. but i guess it would if i was running 2 gtx's !!!!
