nvidia cards

Sweet, I think this may be the card I will get as my DX10 card, I had been planning on buying since I built my computer a year ago.

Looks like they're moving forward, then they go backwards just to move forward :p

GeForce 8800 Ultra
GeForce 8800 GTX
GeForce 8800 GTS (640 MB & 320 MB)
GeForce 8800 GT - NEW! <<<<< lol
GeForce 8600 GTS
GeForce 8600 GT
GeForce 8500 GT
GeForce 8400 GS

So as the SSC GTS's better then the new GT's? Cause it looks like they still have less stream processors.

November is supposed to mark the release of the new and improved GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB. Yet, from the rumors, the new and improved GeForce 8800 GTS may be launching in limited numbers right now. Believe it or not, there is absolutely no way to determine the new 96+ stream processor GeForce 8800 GTS from the older, now end of life one. So watch out which GeForce 8800 GTS you pick up if you swing that way.

just wait, a month wont kill you, although if you cant wait, get an evga card so you can use the step up program, but you only have 90 days to do it.

Here's a breakdown of the 8000 series competition:

The new and improved GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB will have the same 500MHz core clock, 800MHz memory speed, and 320 bit memory bus as its predecessor, but it will supposedly feature 112 stream processors. That's 16 more than the current model, which boasts 96 SPs, but still 16 less than the full-blown GeForce 8800 GTX and Ultra, which both have 128 SPs.

Hmmmm, it would probably be worth the wait for the new GTS instead of getting the GT or the GTX.
