Can't paste power point to microsoft word 2003

I have a power point presentation that I saved to "my documents" in Word 2003. It will not attach and when I open it in word, it is only boxes and lines, not words.

make a new word doucement, and go to
Insert>Object
than scroll down until you see "Power Point Presentation"
click it and select your presentation

try clicking the tab "make from file" and insert it that way

office 03 has always had this problem. best bet is screenshot and insert the pic.
