cpu heat monitoring?

i just built myself a new computer and i am relatively new to this, but i know that i want to moniter the cpu temperature if i am going to be doing games.

what i wanna ask is should i buy a hardware device to install to monitor it, or is there a program that is reliable thaat will moniter ther cpu temperatures?

best way is to have a probe on the heastsink that goes to a lcd panel on your case.

If you do not want to install hardware, a simple program you can monitor temps.
