Best Dual core?

I just want to know what the best dual core processor,i have an AMD 4800+ x2 (2.5ghz per core) and at the moment im doing 3 Virus scans at the same time (windows defender,AVG Virus,AVG Spyware) and surfing the net at the same time and there isnt much of a performance drop .Although i was using an intel E6750 the other day (2.6Ghz per core) and i was installing a game and surfing the internet was near impssible! isnt Intel mean to be better??

You have 2GB of RAM. Did the Intel have 2GB?

it was impossible because installing a game takes away all the HDD time, and while surfing you need to access the HDD to get certain cookies and options and stuff you dont have in the ram.

It has 1.5gb RAM,Cme to think of it the Hardrive in the intel was IDE and mine is SATA.

its not the fact it was IDE, but the fact that you were installing something, which constantly uses the HDD sensors as writers, and have little time to read things for other programs

the C2D, the amd's clock usually has to be 100mhz higher than the C2D's to beat it in most benches, and the fact the C2D oc's so well
