AFAIK, It's illegal to sell that copy of office. Due to the fact schools get special pricing you CANNOT legally resell that copy of office.

Chris has a point there. The schools have special pricings, because they know it will be used by multiple students. It's not legit to resell them, as they were bought for school purpose, and the liscense are school liscences.

It's true that when you buy software from the school, you don't own the right to the software - just the right to use it. However, I've read our school's license agreement with Microsoft, and once you graduate, you are granted the actual ownership license.
