Ohhh you need the repair console? That's totally different from a DOS prompt. You need an XP installation disc.

he said his xp disc wasnt bootable in the first post, so im not too sure what he needs lol.
sounds more like recovery console the more i look at it

Well if the recovery console is what you need, you should be able to press "R" when booting the Windows XP CD to enter the recovery console.

yea what exactly do you need to do anyway? i think i got a bit mixed up at the start but im sure you want access to the recovery console now
