Compaq PCs SILENT

i was wondering how they make Compaq PC's so silent.
they dont use rubber between fans and cases,
their cases are made of thin metal

is it the fans and the CPU fan? also, the CPU is covered with a pipe going to the back, could that be insulating (soundwise).

and the Power supply is also quiet, is that just the fan?
or is there something about the case i just dont know.

my family owns 2, and theyre both ultra silent. sometimes i forget their on

yh mine used to be really quiet, but because mine is so full of crap the hdd is constantly making noises. other than that i cant fault it
