pc keeps locking up

you can see my system specs below .. i only recently got my 8800gtx and when i play games or do somthing intence like run 3dmark it freezes up and i have to reboot could the psu cause the system to freeze ? im clueless

Overclocking it does that. Have you done anything like that with your CPU, GPU?

i have overclocked my cpu from 2.6 to 3.2 and my gpu is at stock

could it be a driver problem because im using an xtreme-g forceware

i have reset my cpu to stock and im still getting the problem im thinking its either psu, ram or gpu

how is your temps? I was having problems with computer freezing when my temps were really bad.

my temps are fine i just ran memtest so its not ram either i do only have a 500w psu so im not sure what to do now i have 2 6 pin pci-e connects plugged into the gtx is that right or are you ment to plug in just 1 connector ?

Not 100% sure, but my GTS is hooked up to 1. Don't know if the GTX is different.

o, and the 500W PSU should be fine, my friend has a similiar build and it's plenty of power for it.
