looking to build a gaming comp for around $1100 is this a pretty solid setup?

hard drive: Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JD 80GB
Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600AAJS 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB

cd-rom drive: LITE-ON Black 20X DVD+R 8X

processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz

motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R LGA 775 Intel
P35 ATX Intel Motherboard

memory modules: CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB)

That's not bad although I don't get what you are trying to get at with those 2 different hard drives.

The old small hard drives are slower.

yea but the smallest hard drive i could find is an 80 gb so not exactly small or old

just get a single drive and partition it.

you will need it if u upgrade your video card
get one hard drive
get a dvd burner
and get nvidia 680i a1 mother bored
