I just got a new laptop(first laptop) and i notice that alot of the time when my hard drive light blinks i hear a some clicking noise that seems to be coming from where i think my hard drive is? Now is this normal or no?

If its a standard clicking noise thats very repetitive and is happening hundreds of times a second, and not a clunk, clunk sort of noise, its most likely just the hard drive working, and isn't anything to worry about.
Some hard drives are louder than others.

well it not happening that much, only once everytime i hard drive light goes on. i figure it is normal since my computer is much closer to me than my desktop was, i figure it might be a noise i could not hear with my desktop being it futher away and quitier

Yeah, sounds like the standard hard drive ticking noise some can make when processing. No need to worry
