need help on a new build

I like the componets you are putting in it. I would consider getting the antec 900 it has two front fans one in the back and a top blow hole. Also has a option for a side 120mm fan
 
Yeah the Antec 900 case is nice. I have two now, and both work extremely well.
 
i'm right now shopping around for best prices and realized, since i haven't put a comp together before, which pieces should i expect to not come with cables???
 
All should come with cables. Wouldn't worry about that either :)
Even OEM items tend to come with some cables.

Your motherboard will come with adapters for hard drives and DVD drive (as HDD's and disk drives dont tend to come with anything) and your power supply will have all the power adapters you need.

Your case should come with all screws, etc too
 
after talking to my friend i think i'm going to take his suggestion and get xp because of the problems vista is having and plan on eventually upgrading. and get this setup

I'm afraid that link doesn't work, but XP I think is a good idea. Personally, I don't think I'll switch to Vista.

When you build a custom system, finding the appropriate Power Supply is a hard thing to figure out considering most companies do not have specific guide lines for just the motherboard.

Too low of a wattage will cause over heating and equiptment failure, while some 1000W and up Power supplies running at 80% proficiency cost almost $400. Almost always the video card power requirements will govern the minimum size power supply you can use. Each card will list the minimum amps for the minimum amps for the 12 volt rail that the video card is mounted and a minimum watts for the power supply. For power requirements, assume the power supply should be able to power the most extreme video card or cards you will ever install.

If you buy an SLI certified power supply for the NVIDIA 8800Ultra it will probably work with any system you will ever build but may cost a small fortune.
