Basically, it formats it to NTFS quickly for a new installation.

If you were wanting to start from scratch though after installing Windows before, the standard is probably the best to get rid of everything.

But since its a new drive, the Quick is fine, and it only takes 5 seconds, instead of an hour with the standard
 
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.

So, stick in the Hdd, turn on the comp, put cd and away i go?
 
you mite have to go in the bios first and choose the first boot thing to cd, then it should ask you if u would like to load up from cd and u press any key and it will load the setup for ya
