Anyone try this on Vista?

Speed up your PC's performance
Windows Vista features a new way to improve your PC's performance: Windows ReadyBoost. This feature lets you use flash memory on a universal serial bus (USB) 2.0 drive, Secure Digital (SD) Card, or Compact Flash to give you additional memory cache--memory that your PC can access more quickly than data on the hard drive. To take advantage of Windows ReadyBoost:

1. Insert a USB 2.0 memory drive with at least 512 MB of capacity.
2. When prompted, click "use this device to speed up my PC."

I've used it, and it didn't help because I have 2GB of RAM. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have 1GB or less and a flash drive laying around to try. From what I've read though, 512MB RAM systems make good use of it.

Weird that it doesn't speed up things. This was stated as one of the good features about Vista when it was advertised :s

It does if you have 512MB of RAM. But when you have 2GB, there really isn't much use for the speed boost.

if your using all your ram then it does help. hence the 512mb systems benefit more from it then the 2GB
