Question about paypal

If I'm told I'm creating a free account to do referrals for a site on an ebook, and one of the registration fields to fill in is "paypal email address"... am i at risk of being robbed or would i have to confirm any money being taken out of my bank account with paypal?

Probally not. If its some type of site that pays you via paypal for referrals then they need your paypal address to pay you.

If it starts asking for anything else its most likely a phishing website. IE never put your paypal password in any site except paypal.

yea they cant take any money from you. the only way money can go out of your account is if you send it.

They can't withdraw from your Paypal account just by having the email address. The only way that could happen is if you sent the money through Paypal or if they knew your account password.

unless its certified as ebay - where to pay you have to put in your password and your taken to your paypal account

Even with eBay purchases you are taken to the Paypal website before you must enter in your password anyway.
