You're talking about voltage regulators. A resistor is way smaller. It is determined by color rings around them. Very small, but I can fix it, but it's harder and not always, will it work.

on a lot of gpu's and motherboards and other computer components the resistors are surface mounted
like theese , usualy either the number denotes the value or the letters ,

colour coded resistors are theese types and are so much larger

Yeah, I have fixed one of these on my old Amd mobo. Really tough job, but worked.

I sure hope so! It's beter to be safe than sorry. 140 doesn't seem like a lot to people, but it is quite some money there.

Yes and after they fix it it is still under warranty. 2 year double lifetime
