Ok so my hard drive adds 1 GB a day automatically without me installing anything or putting anything on it. I did a full system scan for virus and spyware, and nothing came up in the scans. So, what do you think is wrong?

I use vista with mozilla firefox, and i have only had the computer for a week, so my history hasnt build up THAT much

sounds to me like some kinda system restore type of thing.

maybe by a secuirty pack or the OS

Yeah, it's system restore. I clean mine out once a week and usually gain 10GB of space. In the disk cleanup utility, there is an option to delete all but the most recent restore point.

sorry im retarded but i didnt get what you meant by that. i did do a system restore yesterday.

you know the restore points? those can take up to 15% of your total hard drive space for just saving the restore points. So just to give an Idea of what we are looking at here, of my 250 GB drive 37 gigs can be used for system restore points.

The by deleting extra restore points, you can clear up alot of space on your drive.
