ok so every time i turn my laptop on it goes back to the biggest screen res that is all huge and blurry. and i have to change it back to the wide screen one every time i restart any ideas?

Download and reinstall display driver
In this case, I'd go to support.dell.com and search for your specific laptop model (the Inspiron 1520). Download the latest BIOS update and latest Nvidia driver. If you do not know how to flash a BIOS, Dell provides instructions at the download site.
