I bought a acer from circuit city w/ 320 gb hard drive, but it is partitioned into 2 drives. Is there a way to combine them back into one drive?
Thanks.

If you really want to, go into Disk management, then just delete the other partition.

Be sure to be logged onto the Boot one first though.

No its not recovery. They are 2 144GB partitions of a 320 gb hardrive i just want to combine. thelis if i deleted the partition wouldnt i lose 144gb of hard drive space

No sir, you would get unallocated space that you could add to your primary. In actuality, you are just deleting the VOLUME on the other partition.

yea ^
i cant see why they would do this though. the only reason i can think of is that the computer can only read partitions of upto around 150gb, but i doubt they would put in a 300gb hard drive if this was the case, besides its a new pc anyway.
