Terminalogy question

mmmmmmmmmm
and the purpose of the north and south bridge is to process and distribute the data to the graphics card(s) when in SLI mode correct?
or do they do more than that?
thanks for all of the help

hmm well graphics really is only the Northbridges task - Southbirdge is more the undemanding things like peripherals or data storage.

Edit: If you want, Wikipedia has a lot of good arcticles when it comes to parts of a computer - and in most cases have diagrams/pictures too :)

Your welcome :D Every little helps (ha! who can guess which supermarket i work for)...

The Northbridge take most of the pounding when it comes to processing. Same with the Southbridge although the Northbridge is more involved. There use to be fans on those, but heat pipes were found to be just as efficient as they move heat away.
