LOL, they're far from the best. They're not bad, but they're definitely not the best.

The 680i will OC alright, but yes, the P35 will OC much better. The only reason to get a 680i chipset is if you're planning on SLI.

Intel has a new chipset called the X38 I think. It runs so hot that they are putting a heatspreader on it. Not out yet though.

so really wats the better board for ocing i dont plan on running sli cus i can run 2 screens off of the same card i want the better board for ocing i want it to support all ddr2 ram and posibbly ddr3 for wen it gets cheaper i want onboard 7 -8 channel aduio and 10/100/1000 ethranet

i own a dvdrw drive plays and burns all formats of dvds and cds

then im getting the samsung syncmaster 19inch wide screen 2000:1 contrast and 2ms responce and logitech z5500 speakers i also own a 200gig seagate baracuda

i dunno, i bought the board under the pretense that it was good for OCing (which i heard/read from several sources). I don't think it's bad for overclockability but i also dont know if it's the best

Alright here is the deal.

Any 680i chipset is a killer OCer... for dual cores. The quad cores are NOT supported with ONLY the n63 model. The A1 OCes it fine, but not the n63.
