Woo, just completed FEAR for the first time.
I've tried many times before, but problems always arose due to overheating on the other PC, and one hard drive going down.

Well, on the new PC with about 4 blue screens in all throughout the game, I've managed to complete it :)

Its an amazing game, and it definietly leaves open another game, which is said to be in the works with a different name.
Can't wait now.

Half Life 2 is the only other FPS game I've actually completed. To tell the truth, I don't think I've completed many games.
The first one I think was the Sonic series, and then Rayman 2 (Loved that game), haha. I have Rayman 3, but never really bothered with that one after a point. May try again...
Probably is more, but I can't remember.

But yeah, if you haven't played it, buy it. Honestly. It freaked me out a few times, with my hair raising, and that feeling that comes with it.

EDIT:

Oh yeah, Metal Gear Solid remade for the gamecube. Completed that too

nice, i wanna ge fear but my pc sucks so it would definatly lag thats y im waiting till i get my new pc

Congrats.

It's an awesome game. Especially with all the black (ghost?) that surround you and try to kill you on the last level. The ending could have been better.

Haha, the black smoke where they come out of. That actually freaked me out the most. That, and those ninja ones that can appear anywhere. That got me going too.
Plus, a few bits with the girl. She looks scarier as an adult than as a child...

But yeah, personally I liked the ending. Explains it at the end too after the credits, sort of.
I won't give it away though.

I completed F.E.A.R yesterday
F.e.a.r 2 is going to be called f.e.a.r project origin

I loved f.e.a.r 1 great game lots of twists...

Haha both completed it in the space of a day of each other. Nice one :)

Is there much on FEAR 2 at the moment? I haven't heard anything anyway.

Wonder what graphics engine it'll use, if not their own.

very very weird... at E3
No cameras. No voice recorders. No interviews. No screenshots released. No questions asked. To say that CVG's invite to the world's first showing of the F.E.A.R. sequel beyond the iron walls of Seattle's Monolith was heavily policed is somewhat of an understatement. With a marriage to Vivendi Games now thoroughly annulled through Monolith's acquisition by Warner Brothers, and the franchise name of F.E.A.R now lost in frantic lawyer-speak the decision has been clearly been made to let the still unnamed game speak for itself. Which it did: loudly, violently and often with slow-motion swearing.

It begins after the concluding explosion of F.E.A.R. (so ignore the timeline Vivendi's faintly silly Extraction Point expansion pack) with the lead character dropping in and out of consciousness on a hospital operating table. Doctors struggle to revive you one minute, then you drop out of the real world (perhaps) and see shambling bodies gorging on your flesh. Up above, in the operating theatre's gallery, a shadowy woman calls for ever more extreme efforts to bring you back to the living and slightly dead - defibrillators are brought out, special effects go crazy and you awake an unspecified amount of time later in that now-wrecked hospital (with a frequently recurring decorative blood stain motif) with a painful ringing in your ears

Fans called to name F.E.A.R. sequel
Tuesday 5-Jun-2007 8:11 AM F.E.A.R. 2 needs a new name after Vivendi bust-up, and Monolith wants you to think it up

Probably one of the better shooters of the last few years, Monolith's F.E.A.R. is now in the middle of a company bust-up. Vivendi own the rights to the F.E.A.R. name, while developer monolith is ploughing on with a sequel anyway under a new alias.

The name of the Monolith sequel is still up in the air and the company, along with new publisher Warner Bros. has opened NameYourFEAR.com to help gather fans' title suggestions for its scary shooter follow-up.

To help your creative cogs turn, Monolith offers this blurb for the second game:

Neither can I now...
FEAR was just amazing

I didn't expect the ending though when in the helicopter (won't explain). Did you? Though, something like must have had to occur.
