Couple of Questions with my Overclock?

Ok so im trying to hit 2.5ghz on my new motherbaord with my 3800+ x2 but im having some trouble. My first question is it better to have a Hyper Transport running really low or slightly over 1000? The way it is now my cpu is running at 2.4 and the HT is running at 1008, with a x4. If I want to overclock my cpu anymore id have to push that past that or lower it around 770 or something.

It shouldn't be a problem if it's a little over 1000. But it's generally a good idea to keep it below, because it really doesn't bottleneck anything. So you might as well set it down since it's just acting as a potential hindrance to the overclock.

Look at what these people did with their X2 3800+. It's a 2.5GHz OC that's stable.
