Luciano Pavarotti has died at 71

I saw the thread yesterday saying how he was in the midst of doing worst, with his family and friends around. I checked on the news this morning, and turns out he passed away almost 10 hours ago..

My prayers are with his family and friends..

Yep, "Big Lucy", as they called him has gone, he'll leave a big gap, [definitely no pun intended!!] pancreatic cancer is one of the worst, my wife's father, a really a nice guy, died of it, he didn't even reach retirement, during WW2 he was helping protect the north sea convoys from Nazi U Boats, & was torpedoed not once but twice, all that, then in the end cancer got him, it's ironic, isn't it?
